This review discusses electronic structure of graphene and how it explains its observed reactivity both as a DA dienophile and
diene. Also, the article discusses functionalization via diazonium
chemistry and, more interestingly, formation of sandwich complexes (of
graphene and CNTs) with transition metals and charge-transfer species
with lithium metal.
