This paper shows that Cu(111)
surfaces can be used to catalyze azide-alkyne cycloaddition in UHV
conditions. They mainly use STM and XPS to confirm this. The
efficiency is fairly low, and they claim it is mainly limited by the
decomposition of the azide on the surface.
