High-Speed Tracking of Murine Cardiac Stem Cells by Harmonic Nanodoublers

In this work, PEG-stabilized potassium niobate nanocrystals (obtained by grinding a large crystal) were used as second-harmonic emitters (frequency-doubled light) to study the evolution of murine cardiac stem cells.  There's no photobleaching or blinking, and the excitation can be done at a range of wavelength from 400 to 1550 nm.
