pH and Redox Dual Responsive Nanoparticles for Nuclear Targeted Drug Delivery

http://pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.1021/mp300274g

The authors prepared DOX loaded nanoparticles for pH and redox delivery. The nanoparticles were cross-linked by both acid linkers and disulfide bonds, allowing for disassembly in response to either stimulus. The particles also contained cRGD for cellular targeting and increased nuclear targeting. The particles showed a two-phase kinetic release and showed significant anti-cancer activity.

The paper is mainly interesting in its similarity to our drug-loaded star polymers and clip chemistry.
