Star Polymer Self-Assembly

From Nano Letters:

Ordered Nanoscale Archimedean Tilings of a Templated 3-Miktoarm Star Terpolymer

http://pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.1021/nl400006c

Designed 3 arm star polymers with chemically distinct arms (i.e., 3-miktoarm star terpolymers) were found to self-assemble in the bulk state to form Archimedean tilings.  One the the most interesting things about this work is that it comes from Caroline Ross' group.  She is in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering here at MIT.
