Polymer Microspheres Prepared by Water-Borne Thiol−Ene Suspension Photopolymerization

Olivia Z Durham, Sitaraman Krishnan, and Devon A. Shipp

Photo-initiated thiol-ene coupling polymerization was used to make micrometer-sized sphereical particles in as a suspension on water. The mechanism was believed to be step-growth, as well smaller particles were created by longer sonication times and using a higher concentration of a surfactant or solvent.
